Capcom hasn't set a date for the Monster Hunter and Devil May Cry collaboration yet. The character they've chosen is Dante!

Capcom is releasing a brand new Devil May Cry HD Collection featuring the first three games in the series. Charge Blades in Monster Hunter World combine the shield with the sword to transform into axes, but the Devil May Cry weapons will have the Force Edge transform into Alastor. Players will need to complete the event quest multiple times to gather enough materials to create the new weapon and armor. Where other Charge Blades typically come with a shield that can be combined with the sword into a giant axe, the Force Edge eschews a shield completely (although Capcom says you'll still be able to guard while it's equipped), and it can instead turn into a giant Alastor. Players of the open-world hunting game that complete certain quest will be able to craft a very special weapon that resembles the iconic Force Edge. A new event quest will be available soon that rewards items for creating Devil May Cry content in the co-op action RPG.

Another collaboration event is coming to Monster Hunter: World offering a new weapon and skin.

The reveal comes in the form of a near pitch-perfect trailer that mimics the sights and sounds of the original Devil May Cry, showing numerous monsters challenging the legendary devil hunter. You can pick up the Devil May Cry HD Collection for $29.99 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One starting today.
