No surprise there. But theories floating around the web claim that it's Rebecca that's going to cause the emotional catastrophe instead of Jack.

Another season of This Is Us is in the books, which means new questions heading into season three. She finally admits that her mother has been her inspiration throughout life, and she can wants to become just like her. But while one chapter closed, another one opened.

"There is a bit of a twist, in true "This Is Us" fashion", continued Metz.

The season finale of This Is Us found Kate coming to terms with saying goodbye to Jack once and for all in order to make room in her heart to fully commit to a marriage with Toby.

While the series surrounds Kate and the rest of the Pearson family, fans will get to meet Toby's side of the family in this episode.

Kate and Toby successfully make it down the aisle despite all of the drama swirling around them. But before the summer sun can dry our Season 2 tears, there's still time to revel in the bittersweet season finale.

As Randall speaks, various glimpses of the future are shown. She heads to the old ice cream parlor that Jack used to take her to, but it has a new owner and completely new flavors. But he's not alone.

Zoe was introduced earlier in the finale as the wedding's photographer.

"In true [creator] Dan Fogelman [fashion], as well as the rest of our writers - we have the most fantastic writers on our crew - they have built this lovely idea of giving the audience an aged version of Jack", Ventimiglia said before the This Is Us Season 2 finale.

Kevin is shown on a plane headed to Vietnam. What new intel is he on the search for when it comes to Jack's history? Kate is second-guessing her relationship after Toby forgets her dad's old shirt. Do you think Toby's parents are right about Kate being unstable?

She reiterated that Randall and Beth only have Deja's best interest at heart; although the situation is a bit hard because Deja's birth mother is still a big part of that picture.

While Randall, Beth, Tess and Annie enjoy the brief respite from the uncertainty that's about to come to their family and after wondering where Deja has run off to, we see Deja taking a baseball bat and smashing Randall's auto.

Who do you think Randall and Tess are going to see? Randall, meanwhile, is trying to do patchwork. Did the finale set her up for a future prison stint?

What do you think is happening with Tess and Randall in the flash-forward on This Is Us and what do you want to see?

The season 2 finale for This Is Us teased a scene in the future for Randall and Tess where they have to see someone who they're not ready to see. "I think [she'll want] an intimate [wedding] with people she really cares about and loves".

The answer is still hazy-but in Tuesday's finale, it became clear that while Beth might not be dead in the future, she's nearly certainly not well. If I'm playing the "what if" game that Randall plays where he envisions the worst-case scenarios, then Deja walking a dark path that leads her behind bars would be just that.

Randall: Deja never turns this around and ends up in jail. She offers to talk to Deja for Beth.

Randall: She might kill us both not in our sleep. Zoe, for the short term, seems to make some sort of impression on Deja, as the teen actually gets dressed for the wedding (but then later goes missing at the end). Perhaps after she takes the bat to the vehicle, they send her away or something - or maybe Tess and Randall are talking about someone else completely. We all have been holding onto and mourning Jack Pearson since we discovered he was going to die, and even seeing it just tore us apart.

Beth: Both on the pole.
