Although CM Punk's UFC debut didn't go as planned, he is set to return to the Octagon.

The UFC has not announced a fight for Punk, but president Dana White previously has said he intends to give the 39-year-old "another shot".

Punk, who lives in his native Chicago, immediately said he meant to fight again but has been relatively quiet since.

All signs point to Phil "CM Punk" Brooks making his second octagon appearance at UFC 225 in June.

"June nine, after I win and lock eyes with my attractive wife, embrace my coaches and shout out my entire team", the ex-wrestler replied. It was a first round losing effort against Mickey Gall, who was only fighting for the third time in his MMA career. He's been a constant presence at the Roufusport camp in Milwaukee, Wis., training alongside the likes of UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley, former lightweight champ Anthony Pettis, former ONE Championship titleholder Ben Askren and other notables.

For those unaware, UFC 225 will take place at the United Center in Chicago. Coincidentally, Jackson has also suffered a first round loss to Mickey Gall, the same man who submitted Punk via rear-naked choke at UFC 203.

Jackson has been campaigning for the fight probably more than anyone and after seeing the tweet himself, he hints at potentially being the opponent. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FS1 and UFC Fight Pass, though the full lineup ands bout order haven't been finalized.
