Texas Southern University gave Williams a $16,000 scholarship, which will allow her to fulfill her dream of attending college to study business management. Williams received praise from all over when she was seen cutting up food for a customer who had recently undergone surgery.

But on February 3, what she did for a sick elderly customer was captured in a photo that went viral.

"He was like, 'My hands are not functioning too well.' He needed me to cut his food". This may seem small but to him, I'm sure it was huge. Williams was reportedly working full-time at the Waffle House restaurant in order to earn money for college.

"I had no coordination, no feeling, and strength in my hands", Adrian Charpentier, the customer told ABC 13 News.

According to Laura Wolf, who posted the image on Facebook, Evoni immediately took his plate and began cutting his food for him. Despite the attention, she said she felt it was the right thing to do. If you need help, that's what I am here for, ' " the 18-year-old waitress said. "It just came from the heart", Williams said.

Wolf told KHOU-TV that William's kindness, despite how busy the restaurant was, really made an impression on her. "It's so wonderful that the younger generation cares about the older generation".

Not only this, she was also honoured by the mayor of La Marque, Bobby Hocking. "She has the character of the type of students we want at Texas Southern University". "Getting my own day".
