While "Bodak Yellow" is her first hit, Cardi has been in the spotlight for several years, thanks to her role on the VH1 reality TV series "Love & Hip Hop: New York", where she made her debut as a cast member in 2015 during season six.

Both award categories were voted for by fans.

Before a night of performances from artists like Cardi B, Camila Cabello, Ed Sheeran, and Eminem, celebrities walked the red carpet and looked great while doing it.

She also gave an epic nod to those who don't count themselves among her fan club.

"Oh my God! I am going to thank a lot of people because a lot of people helped me with my success so here it goes", she shared. "Because they be downloading my stuff so they can hear it and talk crap about it". But it benefits me.

The "Bartier Cardi" rapper had the crowd on its feet during her performance and her wins. "We've been at this game a long time, and the only advice I'll tell this incredible generation of incredible talent is just stay true to who you are and they're gonna make you guys icons too someday". Okay? Yes, sir. April.

The seven-member act took home the Best Boy Band and Best Fan Army trophies at this year's annual music awards held by the U.S. radio network iHeartMedia at The Forum in Los Angeles on Monday (local time).
