Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron are holding bilateral talks at Hyderabad House in New Delhi. Delegation level talks will be held at 12:30 AM. As of now, 60 nations have already signed the ISA Framework Agreement and 30 have signed and ratified the ISA Framework Agreement. Here are the details.

Macron's visit comes after a somewhat misstep-laden visit to India by Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau.

Adityanath met district officials and the police top brass and understood the travel plans of the French President and assessed the preparedness of the visit, an official said.

This is Macron's first visit to India after becoming President.

He seeks cooperation by India over the military activities of both the countries while saying, " France wishes to get India 's cooperation in the functioning of their military agencies and ensure a collective effort in monitoring the activities in space".

"France is the entry point to Europe".

"Whether it's the environment, naval security and resources, or freedom of navigation and overflight, we are committed to making our partnership stronger on all these fronts", Modi said.

Later, he paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat.

President Macron will also meet Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj.

Reportedly, French and Indian companies signed deals worth $16bn. The leaders also assured to protect classified information, and discussed ways to enhance cooperation in civil nuclear power. PM Modi welcomed investments in the Defence sector from France under "Make In India". It will also work together on issues of concerns such as terrorism, climate change, sustainable growth and development, infrastructure, smart urbanization, science and technology cooperation and youth exchanges.

After the talks, India and France signed 14 agreements.

On Sunday, Mr. Macron will attend a solar power summit created to showcase India and France's commitment to fighting climate change, which both leaders have made a priority.
