A Nintendo 3DS version of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, which includes stereoscopic 3D visuals and touch-screen controls, also launches on July 13.
For those that missed Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, this is a fun, isometric puzzle game in which you venture with the somewhat courageous (?) hero through a series of levels, collecting coins and avoiding enemies. While some of the levels may have been carried over from that game, we imagine the 3DS team will have had to reimagine them enough for the 3DS to make it worth considering them entirely new maps. Captain Toad has even discovered some new areas to explore not found in Wii U version, featuring various kingdoms from Super Mario Odyssey, including New Donk City. Captain Toad can't jump through, which can make some levels tricky to traverse.
The Switch version has a two-player mode, where you can control the Captain with one Joy-Con while a friend can play assist against enemies with another controller.
