The latest is Jurassic World Alive, an AR mobile app that lets users collect dinosaurs.

Quite likePokemon Go, this game will require enabling the Global Positioning System of one's phone to enable one to roam about in one's locality or wherever one is travel so that one can interacting with dinosaurs.

Cashing in on the hype of mobile gaming left in the wake of Pokémon GO's launch, the studio has released the first trailer for Jurassic World Alive. The game is now looking for pre-registrations, promising an in-game "incubator" as a reward; presumably to develop dinosaurs.

You'll also be able to pit your dinos and against other players' dinos in battles or you can simply show off your creations to the world by taking selfies with them. Pokémon GO creators Niantic are working on an immersive Harry Potter: Wizards Unite game, and the AR-based Ghostbusters World is also coming this year. After creating genetically modified dinosaurs in a lab, they can then be used in real-time, player-vs. -player battles to earn rewards.

From the relative safety of their own homes, players can collect nearby dinosaurs' DNA by deploying an in-game drone. She has experience in developing a couple of park management mobile games based on Jurassic Park. Go for the pre-registry on the Jurassic World Alive official website.

The game will have over 100 dinosaurs available at launch but developer Ludia says that it will be regularly updated with more species, including special "hybrid" and "super hybrid" animals with presumably better stats and "more advanced capabilities". With the Jurassic Park brand now 28 years old and showing no signs of slowing down, Jurassic World Alive is a particularly clever move on Universal's side. "We are thrilled to once again work with Ludia and think this will be the biggest and most exciting game in the franchise yet!"

Reportedly the game will be released for Android and iPhone and iPad devices sometime this spring, possibly synchronized somehow with the release of the new movie, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
