THE WORLD's greatest club competition is starting to heat up - and soon just eight teams will remain in the hat for the Champions League quarter-finals.

The Reds were the first Premier League side to book their spot in the next round with a goalless draw at home to Porto giving them a 5-0 aggregate win.

"To have achieved three Champions League titles is unbelievable".

Happy to have get a start after a long time and thanks to the fans for their fantastic support.

"We respect Porto too much and the competition too much that we would think about real rotation", Klopp, who has rotated his side more than any other Premier League manager this season, said on Monday. "Why not? We have shown in the past few seasons we can beat all the English clubs".

The in-form Egypt global had one angled shot easily saved as his run of scoring in successive matches ended at seven but, with a 24th European quarter-final in the bag (14 in this competition), his talents will be required for a more important occasion.

One of three Premier League clubs could await Liverpool in the next round and Firmino believes results against their rivals under Klopp show they have nothing to fear.

"If you are in the draw (at this stage) then you cannot be afraid of anyone".

This game was the antithesis of their 5-0 win in the first leg at the Estadio do Dragao, but a professional performance, a fifth clean sheet in eight European matches and no apparent injuries represented mission accomplished.

Manchester United and Chelsea could also still qualify, with Jose Mourinho's side having worked out a 0-0 away draw in the first leg and Antonio Conte's club level at 1-1 with Barcelona ahead of the return leg at the Camp Nou.

"We are not concerned who we get".

"Of course they are good teams".

"I don't think it's a problem if you play well and don't score, when you are creating chances". They are all good teams (left in the draw).

"You don't rotate to avoid something, you only use players that are in the best shape", he added.

Porto pressed late on but to no avail, as it failed to collect a first away win over an English opponent in the Champions League at the 13th attempt.
