Blizzard Entertainment posted a tweet of the head of Diablo himself as a lightbulb located on a typical wall plug.
Last week, Blizzard tweeted a gif of a Diablo night light being switched on and off.
But when contacted by various news organizations Blizzard denied that there are any such plans in the making. As always, don't trust this rumor wholly, as nothing about a Diablo 3Switch port will be official until Blizzard makes it so. The not-so-subtle implication was that Diablo III is coming to Nintendo's popular hybrid console. It is possible that Blizzard simply did not want to let the cat out of the bag too early, and that the tweet might have been in response to the earlier rumor.
The possibility of this news being true is high because Eurogamer's track record for breaking such news has been high. If it does though, we would expect the expansions to come along with it, giving Nintendo users a real taste of Diablo III with all of its additional content and prestige levels to grind through.
Those sources also aren't able to tell us if Diablo 3 for Switch will include Reaper of Souls or Rise of the Necromancer, but the safe assumption is that it will.
Diablo 3 is a role-playing game originally released in Spring 2012 for PC. And with a local multiplayer support the game looks like an ideal candidate for the Switch.
Even with this latest leak, a source with "knowledge of the project" felt that the game's reveal wasn't for another few months. Blizzard has described the post as "a fun engagement piece".
Video game stories from other sites on the web. But for now, Blizzard Entertainment seems to be holding on their horses.
