She's clearly softened on the issue, and let's be honest - Jerry's about as opposite of Wendy as you can get, so he's no threat.

'Jerry has been such a good friend to me, ' she said.

"Hey @MrJerryOC thanks for being my guest host while I'm out getting some much needed rest", Williams tweeted. "We're happy to welcome him as a guest host while I'm out getting much needed rest", Wendy said in a statement (via TMZ).

Wendy Williams will be back in her signature purple chair on Monday, March 19, after a three-week hiatus. After fainting on-air and then blaming it on the heat from the studio lights, she chose to take some time off to focus on her hyperthyroidism and Graves' disease, per her doctor's orders.

Williams initially announced her hiatus about two weeks ago (Feb. 21), letting her viewers in on her struggle with hyperthyroidism and Graves' disease, which she has been publicly open about for several months now. "Her health and well-being must be put before all else", a rep for the show told Us in February. I had to be talked out of going to work today, ' adding she was going to the doctors the same day to find out whether she had the flu.

It is a thyroid problem and the leading cause of hyperthyroidism, a condition in which the thyroid gland produces excessive hormones, according to webmd.com. She later explained that she was dehydrated and overheated from her Statue of Liberty costume.

"The Wendy Williams Show" airs weekdays (check local listings). Her health scared also came after she fainted on live TV during her Halloween episode back in October 2017.
