Kimmel went on to say that Trump would love this year's best picture victor, "The Shape of Water", because it's about a "monster who has sex with a woman who can't talk about it", which is "basically like his life story".

"My tweet got more than twice as many likes as his tweet", Kimmel said on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live.

"Basically, it's like his life's story", he joked of Trump.
