As the outside world seems to get increasingly more chaotic and tangled, Netflix is thankfully there to handle everyone's need for escapism.

It has been a little over a year since many of us were captivated by "Black Mirror.' The Netflix original series has certainly caught on, giving us a look at what our future may look like thanks in part to society's obsession with technology".

Confirmation of a fifth season comes only months after its fourth was released to much fanfare.

Whatever lay ahead for Black Mirror, we're sure it will be as mind-bending as previous seasons.

Unfortunately, Netflix has yet to provide the details on when the fifth season of the popular series will return. By the time the show ends, many of its terrible tech scenarios will probably be realities.

The news was announced by the video streaming company through Twitter, where it posted a very short teaser video that ends with a reference to the Season 2 episode "Be Right Back", which starred Hayley Atwell and Domhnall Gleeson.

What's most interesting about this show is how vastly different each episode of the series is.

When is Black Mirror back on?

Nahhhh. In Charlie Brooker's cryptic imagination, we trust. The show's social media accounts were seemingly omnipresent in the long lead up to season 4. It goes from one theme to another, which is how we ultimately get very unique shows like Season 4's USS Callister.

Season 4 debuted in the final days of 2017, so Season 5 won't arrive until at least December, though it'll likely debut well after that, depending on how many episodes we get.
