"The Melrose Place" and "Dynasty" actress' boyfriend, Chris Heisser, had placed a domestic disturbance call to authorities on February 25.

Locklear, 56, was arrested on suspicion of felony domestic violence involving her live-in boyfriend Chris Heisser.

Police said they were unable to locate a firearm in her home.

As Heather Locklear reportedly receives treatment at a medical facility following her domestic violence arrest last week, police descended on her home Tuesday, apparently in search of a gun, TMZ has revealed.

Police sought the warrant in response to "specific threats" Locklear made during the arrest. During the apprehension, she threatened she would shoot the deputies if they ever came into her home again. "There was a firearm registered in her name, so the objective of the search was simply to go and look for that firearm".

During the incident, Locklear was "was uncooperative and combative", allegedly punching two officers and kicking one in the groin.

She claimed she had been "battered or injured" prior to their arrival, and was later transported to a hospital for evaluation "out of an abundance of caution".

This isn't the first time Locklear has had a run-in with law enforcement. Neither wanted to press charges against the other and the case wasn't pursued any further. Locklear reportedly checked herself into a treatment facility for the fifth time just previous year.

Locklear has battled demons including previous arrests, doomed marriages to rock music wild men and a fight with depression.

We'll keep you updated on Locklear's status, but we're happy to hear she's hopefully getting the help she needs.
