If you thought the Chiron was fast, then hold your breaths, because Bugatti has revealed the new Chiron Sport at the Geneva stage.

Bugatti plans to limit the total number of Chirons built, including the new Chiron Sport, to 500 cars.

Base price is predictably eye-watering: €2.65 million in Europe, or US$3.26 million ($4.2 million) including transport, customs costs, taxes and fees. The Bugatti Chiron Sport has just as much power as the standard auto - 1,500 horsepower via a 16-cylinder engine and four turbochargers. How does Bugatti make the monstrously powerful Chiron even more extreme? The intercooler cover, stabilizer, and even windscreen wipers are made of carbon-fiber while the Sport version also gets lightweight wheels. Bugatti have stripped some weight and sharpened the performance for the Chiron, creating a package that will surely be a "must have" for all future Chiron owners!

Compared to the standard Chiron, the Sport edition features lightweight wheels and additional use of carbon fibre across the body to the extent that even the windscreen wiper is made of carbon fibre, the first for a production vehicle!

"The Chiron Sport has become perceptibly more nimble and its new agility, especially in tight corners makes for a much more emotional experience for the driver on winding roads and handling circuits". Bugatti has also included torque vectoring with the all-wheel-drive system to aid better cornering abilities allowing power from the engine to not only be sent from front-to-back, but also from side-to-side. The aforementioned changes result in the Chiron Sport tipping the scales 18 kgs lesser than the standard model. They account for 1.4kg of the weight saving, and are also more aerodynamic than before.

Bugatti claims the adjustments are not superficial, reducing lap times on the Nardò test track by five seconds.

One of the most unbelievable things about the Bugatti Chiron, besides its $3 million price and top speed of 261 miles per hour, is how nicely it drives on streets where it can't go almost as fast.

There are also a few options, in the form of colour choice - red, blue, sliver and dark grey - and a selection of materials on the interior.
