While Baywatch didn't actually win in either of those categories, the Razzies came up with a new category just for the film: "The Razzie Nomination so Rotten You Loved It!" "I'm not kidding", Johnson, 45, said in an Instagram video on Sunday.

Anyway, Dwayne couldn't wait to tell his fans and during a video that he released on Twitter here he wished his friends good luck at the Oscars, and also boasted about his own prestigious award. "No, not an Oscar-maybe one day-but a Razzie".

"But here's the cool thing". The new category is a movie so rotten you eventually fell in love with it. Embarrassingly, the Golden Raspberry Awards created a whole new category for Dwayne, Zac and the rest of the Baywatch gang - as this (flip) flop needed to be acknowledged.

'Look we made Baywatch'with the best intentions and it didn't work out like that, but I humbly and graciously accept my Razzie and I thank you critics and thank you fans'. Considering this movie actually had some pretty big names in it, that's just gotta hurt.

The 2017 movie filmed in Deerfield Beach won "The Razzie Contender So Rotten You Loved It" award, which was voted by people on the Rotten Tomatoes movie review website. "It didn't work out like that, but I humbly and graciously accept my Razzie". As if that wasn't bad enough, The Emoji also won another TWO more Razzie Awards - which is quite an achievement, considering there are only ten potential awards to win. "I'm pulling for you guys to bring home the gold", he said in the post below.

Others who were lucky enough to take home gongs were Tom Cruise for Worst Actor in The Mummy, Mel Gibson for Worst Supporting Actor in Daddy's Home 2, and while Fifty Shades Darker was nominated for a few categories, it ended up with Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-off or Sequel.
