Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has said it would be better for his side if Manchester United drop midfielder Paul Pogba again but expects his former protege to start when the two sides meet in the Premier League on Sunday.

"These are different circumstances because many times they were matches for the title, this time we have both, us and them, that it is not the case, but we both play for top four and it is a big game independent of what is at stake". And every player has issue with their coaches.

Mourinho claimed that early substitution affected his game-plan, leaving him with one less change to make in the second half when he had meant to bring on Jesse Lingard and go chase the game.

However, Pogba is fit, Alexis Sanchez is exactly the unpredictable forward his team have lacked, and the game will be played in front of an expectant home crowd.

But Mourinho claimed before the Sevilla game he had "doubts" about Pogba after he had ruled himself out of last weekend's FA Cup win at Huddersfield with a mystery illness. "I know when I want him to play I know the mentality and quality". They don't have shin pads, they don't have strapping, they don't have the shirt.

Manchester United manager José Mourinho has confirmed that Ander Herrera could be out of actions for up to six weeks as a result of a recent injury that was picked up in Sevilla.

Such has been the war of words between Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte that it is easy to forget that a vitally important top-four battle will break out on the Old Trafford pitch tomorrow. Sometimes players on the bench take five minutes to be ready to play.

Conte and Mourinho's have aimed several barbs at each other during the season and they failed to shake hands at the end of Chelsea's 1-0 win over United at Stamford Bridge earlier in the campaign.

Conte, who always denied any wrongdoing in that affair, was furious and described Mourinho as "a little man with a very low profile" as the bad blood began to boil. Also, defenders, Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo are sidelined with knocks and won't be available for the game against Chelsea. "So of course I left already a couple of years ago, and next season [it will be] three years ago, so step by step that feeling of: "I was the Chelsea manager" or "I was their manager" for them I think disappears".
