Local Girl Scouts will operate more than 2,500 cookie booths during the weekend.

The annual Girl Scout cookie sale is recognized as the premier business and economic literacy program for girls across the nation and is entering its 101st year.

"We've been dreaming about these Girl Scout-inspired flavors for years", said Patty Healy, senior director of integrated marketing for Dunkin' Donuts. These flavors are Thin MintsĀ®, Coconut Caramel and Peanut Butter Cookie. And get this-the peanut butter flavor doesn't contain allergens, according to the company.

Thin Mint enthusiasts soon will have another way to satisfy cravings for the iconic Girl Scout Cookie.

Starting on January 26, Dunkin' Donuts will release three new Girl Scouts Cookies flavored coffees. On March 12, 1912, in Savannah, Georgia, she organized the very first Girl Scout troop, and every year since, we've honored her vision and legacy, building girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

Girl Scout Cookies are a favorite with so many people. From candy, ice cream and other sweet treats are common collaborations.

"My team of scientists and chefs were cutting apart the cookies into little bits and pieces to recreate them into a swirl product that actually pairs with our coffee".

Dunkin' Donuts three new Girl Scout Cookies flavored coffees will be available at participating locations. "We also got Trefoils and they taste great". It's a really fun and inspiring time to talk to the girls about their goals and what Girl Scouts means to them. Otherwise, you will have to wait till next year.
