Both the Redmi Note 5 Pro and the Redmi Note 5 will be available for purchase on, Mi Home stores and Flipkart starting at 12PM today. The dual SIM smartphone sports a dual rear camera setup. While the Redmi Note 5 Pro price in India starts at Rs. 13,999 for the 4GB RAM variant, it will be the 6GB RAM model that may be a more enticing option for the Indian consumer as there are not many smartphones with as much RAM under Rs. 18,000 in the market at present.

The Redmi Note 5 (Flipkart/Xiaomi) is available in a 3GB/32GB option at Rs 9999 and a 4GB/64GB one at Rs 11999. Flipkart is providing a one-year buyback guarantee for those who wish to exchange the purchased Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro for a newer device later. The Redmi Note 5 was launched not too long ago, and we remember it because it is practically nearly the same phone as the Redmi Note 4, but for the 18:9 display. The Mi A1, on the other hand, features a 2.0GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage.

Xiaomi launched Redmi Note 5 with 18:9 bezel-less display and a powerful 4000mAh battery on February 14. On the front, it features a 5MP selfie camera.

The Redmi Note 5 Pro comes with a 5.99-inch IPS LCD screen with 1080×2160 pixels resolution and 403ppi pixel density. While the Redmi Note 5 Pro comes with an upgraded Snapdragon 636 chipset with Adreno 509 GPU. The dual camera also have EIS (Electronic Image Stabilisation) and LED flash.

The first thing that is same in the predecessor and the successor is the Fingerprint sensor at the back. It measures 158.5 x 75.45 x 8.05mm and weighs 180 grams. It sports a 12-megapixel primary sensor at the back accompanied by a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. Users can click Portrait mode with both rear and front camera. For snapshooters, the Chinese company has bumped the camera sensor to 20-megapixel accompanied by a front flash cam. The phone also has Wi-Fi ac and Bluetooth 5.0, and while there's no USB-C or fast charging, the rest of the features more than make up for it. The battery is a 3000mAh non removable battery.

However, based on the comments to the Redmi Note 5 sale announcement, a lot of Twitter users were complaining about how the phones went out of stock within seconds. Another thing that is to notice here is that both the new smartphone comes with hybrid dual-SIM format instead of dedicated microSD card slot.
