Today marks the official North American release of Black Panther and two of the films leading actresses are just as excited as many fans are.

Iconic South African actor John Kani returns to star as King T'Chaka in Black Panther (after he also made a brief appearance in Civil War), the king of the fictional nation of Wakanda and the father of T'Challa. isiXhosa and other African languages can be heard throughout this new release from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with Andy Serkis sporting an Afrikaans accent for his role.

Marvel's senior vice-president of global partnerships Mindy Hamilton said the campaign clicked from the get-go.

"We always say we work on one movie at a time", Feige said.

Critics have said the movie, which also stars Academy Award victor Lupita Nyong'o and Michael B. Jordan, has a thrilling "superhero story you haven't seen before" and has "revolutionary power".

Also of note is that Black Panther received an A+ CinemaScore, the only Marvel film to have done so besides 2012's The Avengers.

The collaboration between Lexus and Marvel Studios is being executed by the luxury carmaker's multicultural advertising agency, Walton Isaacson.

Boseman portrays the newly-appointed ruler of the technologically savvy Wakanda, King T'Challa.

When it comes to Black Panther, we have plenty to examine. T'Challa's conflict with Michael B. Jordan's character Erik Killmonger is highlighted throughout the film. Lupita Nyong'o posted a video of her and co-star Letitia Wright posted up in the backseat of a auto laying down a freestyle on a beat.

The film is directed by Ryan Coogler and produced by Kevin Feige with Louis D'Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Nate Moore, Jeffrey Chernov and Stan Lee serving as executive producers.
