The Canadian superstar was moved by the story of Fontainebleau hotel housekeeper Odelie Paret and her long commute to work, thus gifting her with a $10,000 shopping spree after spoiling her a bit with dinner and a spa treatment.

Paret, a Haitian mother of five, wakes up every day at 4:30 a.m.to take a long commute, highlighting the current transportation issues within Miami. "So I said, 'Drake!'" Paret told the Herald on Tuesday.

Paret, who's been a housekeeper for the five-star hotel for nearly two decades, received a call from a woman informing her a massage had been arranged at the hotel's spa, along with dinner at StripSteak steakhouse.

Drake and National Football League star Antonio Brown, a Miami native, told Paret and two other women they had 45 minutes, and no budget limit, to get whatever they wanted from Saks Fifth Avenue. "It made me happy".

Paret was given 45 minutes to buy whatever she wanted in Saks - and opted for a pair of $800 comfortable shoes, a $2,000 Valentino handbag and four bottles of perfume.

Drake posted a video of himself and Brown in the empty shopping mall to Snapchat. After showering Miami with more than $200,000 from grocery stores to high schools, the rapper has struck again with yet another act of selfless charity for a local resident.

Reports suggest the kind gestures were filmed for inclusion in his upcoming music video for the song God's Plan. After enjoying her lobster, Paret and her friend were whisked away to the Brickell City Centre.

"There's nothing like seeing people experience a joyful moment when you can tell they need it the most", he wrote in the caption of a previous Instagram.

The Herald featured Paret in a story past year, detailing how she gets up at 4.30am each day and takes two buses to get to work.
