By equipping one of four accessories - swords, bo staff, nunchakus or sais - players will be able to change their character loadout to play as Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo.

This new Injustice 2 trailer shows some phrases and fighting that we haven't seen before, but more importantly, shows us that indeed the Turtles work as one unit. In tournament modes where gear is disabled, the individual turtle will instead be assigned their own character slot.

It has been known for some time that the "Heroes In a Half-Shell" were going to be part of Injustice 2. Each character has their own movesets, character powers, and special moves. They're part of the game's "Fighter Pack 3" DLC or can be purchased for $9.99 Dollars. But come on, they're turtles.

The Ninja Turtles will be available for those who purchased Injustice 2 Ultimate Edition or the game's Fight Pack 3 expansion on February 13. This nearly feels like a natural extension of the recent Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics. But despite its predominantly DC roster, it's Injustice 2's alternate universe roster that is the most interesting.

Without a leak or rumor to spoil the surprise, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles wowed and shocked the crowd at the Injustice 2 World Championships back in November. In those books, the Turtles also fight Batman and other DC characters.

As if using religion to further spread their message wasn't enough, PETA is now trying to get the beloved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to only eat vegan pizza on their new Nickelodeon series.

Check out some gameplay footage of them in action below!
