To celebrate the upcoming release of the newest title from the developers behind Life is unusual, they have been giving fans an inside look each week via a free Vampyrwebseries on Youtube.
Dontnod Entertainment brings fans into the studio one last time for a final look at the creative process behind upcoming action-RPG, Vampyr. In the video, titled Stories From the Dark, the developers talk about the particular approach to narrative, which makes video games a medium unique and different from everyone else. If you're interested in sinking your teeth into it all, you can check out the fourth episode of the telling mini-series based on its development and get ready for June 5. You can watch the latest episode below. In the last episode, Narrative Director Stéphane Beauverger explains that the player will be enthralled with the intricate gameplay systems within Vampyr.
In Vampyr, players take the role of Jonathan Reid, a doctor who has just returned from The Great War only to be turned into a vampire. Vampyr's exploration, investigations, citizen encounters, combat, and hard-hitting choices are all fundamentally intertwined with the game's narrative.
Vampyr is set in 1918 London, with the city weakened by the recent World War I and ravaged by the Spanish Flu. Will you embrace the monster within? "Struggle to live with your decisions... your actions will save or doom London".
After having the tease release date of "spring 2018" for a while, this video finally revealed that Vampyr will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on June 5. The downside, of course, is that release dates for games tend to be a fluid thing.
