And he hasn't made a shot in that time.

Randle is set to become a restricted free agent in the offseason, so if the Lakers don't intend to retain his services, it makes sense for them to dangle him now and get value in return. But since Roberson's injury nine days ago, the Thunder has had one (short) practice.

"It's something that we'll have to look at, we'll evaluate", coach Billy Donovan said.

"Sometimes it's really hard to do, but we've got to do a better job when we come over to help when the ball gets kicked out ... and I think we've gotten killed at the 3-point line defensively". "If he's not playing the best of his ability he gets a lot of criticism".

"I think before at times, I was reserved a little bit trying to get my teammates involved", Ingram said.

"[What] I'm most concerned about that defensively, to be honest, is our 3-point defense", Donovan said. Roberson is far more valuable than anyone realized. "Where can we be the year after that?", George asked about the Thunder's potential.

Tony Jones (Salt Lake Tribune) on Thunder interest in Rodney Hood: "With the NBA's trade deadline looming Thursday, the Oklahoma City Thunder, Chicago Bulls and Detroit Pistons are all showing interest in acquiring Utah Jazz shooting guard Rodney Hood, The Salt Lake Tribune has learned". It will be a challenge to pick up a wing player because the Thunder don't have any valuable draft picks to trade for the next few years, and they would rather not give up any of their promising young players. "But when the ball gets kicked back out, we have got to have more urgency to run people off the line". And put more pressure on the other team's defense, so our thought process was we do think he's capable of running the point.

Jordan Clarkson scored 18 points and Brandon Ingram added 16 for the Lakers, who have won six of eight. The over/under total for the game is listed at 218.5 points. There were troubles all around.

But that call was overturned by replay and, eventually, the Lakers had a 108-104 victory. "Since he's come back from his ankle injury, we haven't really had the consistent play from him we've been getting before that".

It's not that the Thunder have dropped off a cliff defensively, though (they remain ). And that's a theme.

Warriors.com previews the game from the other side: "For a team stocked with veterans, the Thunder sure are streaky".

Westbrook is always a big fantasy threat whenever he steps onto the court, yet George has been the much more intriguing Thunder fantasy player of late. The starting lineup has outscored opponents by 14.2 points per 100 possessions this year, making it the NBA's sixth-most successful fivesome of any which has played more than 200 minutes. Meanwhile, offseason additions Paul George and Carmelo Anthony have given Oklahoma City a collection of star power that perhaps only the Warriors can rival.
