Over the past few weeks, undefeated boxing champion Mayweather, who is now retired, has posted videos of himself wearing MMA gloves and stepping in a cage.
He tried to file this name for trademark shortly after his fight with Floyd Mayweather.
Mayweather retired for the second time after his initial victory over McGregor, while the brash Dubliner has yet to make his long-awaited return to the UFC. Up and until now, Mayweather hasn't really had to deal with any risk inside the ring, because as his record tells us, he's coming out victorious every single time, 50 times to be exact.
The luck of the Irish does not appear to now be with mixed martial artist and boxer Conor McGregor in his quest to build his personal brand.
McGregor locked horns with the Olympian in a boxing match last August, a contest which was dubbed "The Billion Dollar Fight".

"I never said I was gonna fight in the UFC", the boxer told website FightHype.com in December past year.
"Money" Mayweather teased fans around the world by stepping into the cage and wondering aloud what odds he would get on taking up a sport in which his rival Conor McGregor is the main attraction.
Speaking to Jim White on talkSPORT, Davis says, "I think it's going to happen, and I think it will be a three-, four-, five-hundred million dollar fight again".
Longtime MMA commentator Joe Rogan claimed Mayweather is already in talks with UFC president Dana White over a potential "billion dollar" deal to fight. "Obviously, the only way making that fight again makes any sense is if he comes into the Octagon".
Still considering the gaudy amount of money the boxing match between Mayweather and McGregor made past year, it's impossible to ignore the possibility of a rematch happening.
