Coming with a smooth flowing design, the auto is said to be the first attempt from the company for a auto of this size and this defines the design of next generation compact vehicles.

Hyundai may be big in India, but sister brand Kia isn't even present in the market. Notably, the production version of the SUV will be the first Tata product to carry the new Impact Design 2.0 design language. The strong structural elements in the interior provide the strength required by an SUV, whereas, the layered wrap around design with dynamic lines make it exciting for the young urban customer.

Automobile major Hyundai Motor India on Wednesday said that it will launch nine new models, including an electric vehicle in the Indian market by 2020.

The company said that the plant in Andhra Pradesh likely to start production by the middle of 2019. The H5X concept has the potential to shatter current benchmarks and pave the way for new SUV standards in India.

In April a year ago, however, the company struck a deal to build a US$1.1 billion manufacturing plant in Anantapur, southeastern India, formally declaring its entry into India.

The vehicle has been inspired by Indian heritage and driven by advanced technology, it added.

The product team has worked hard to design a new auto based on simplicity.

Kia Motors India's MD and CEO, Kookhyun Shim said, "Kia Motors is delighted to enter India, which is all set to catapult into the world's fifth largest economy this year*".

Commenting on the SP Concept, Kia Motors Corporation Chief Design Officer Peter Schreyer said, "Over the last few years, SUVs have become the vehicle of choice among Indian buyers". The list includes Picanto, Rio, Stonic, Cerato, Cee'd, Cadenza, Stinger, Mohave, Sorento, Sportage and Grand Carnival.
