If you haven't given up on your New Year's resolution then here is another thing to tempt you with - Girl Scout cookies. It sounds as though the girl in question circumvented this policy by selling the cookies from her wagon, but her presence in front of a weed store would nonetheless raise an eyebrow or two at Girl Scout headquarters.
Recognizing synergy when they see it, the team at Urbn Leaf alerted potential customers to the presence of Girl Scout cookies via the shop's Instagram account, encouraging those who swing by to pair their "Girl Scout Cookies with your GSC" ("GSC" is another name for the prized Girl Scout Cookie strain of pot). "Bring them with - shopping is more fun with friends anyways", an employee wrote.
Urbn Leaf founder, Will Senn, said the girl was with her parents and was just passing by with her wagon.
"Cannabis is now legal in California and a direct result of that is the munchies a lot of times", he joked. They'll continue through April.
Although selling cookies outside dispensaries are controversial, the LA Times reports chief communications officer from Girl Scouts of the USA Kelly Parisi said each region of Girl Scouts has its own guidelines.
Senn said he would talk with the Girl Scouts and clear up any misunderstanding.
"As Girl Scouts, we assume good intent", Doyle said. "When we learn that a girl is in violation of a standard/guideline, we nearly always discover that the parent was unaware of the rules".
Those in the know would most likely be trippin' doh, because "GSC" refers to a very different kind of Girl Scout Cookies-the kind that you smoke.
