Palestinian officials say a 19-year-old has been killed in clashes with the Israeli military in the West Bank.

An accomplice of a Palestinian suspected of shooting dead an Israeli man last month was arrested in the northern West Bank overnight Saturday, the IDF said in a statement. The Red Crescent says five other protesters were injured by rubber-coated bullets in the same incident.

A witness said about 200 Palestinians were throwing stones at Israeli military vehicles when a gunshot rang out.

Soldiers used loudspeakers to demand the suspect surrender.

In the wake of the lynching attempt and riot that developed after an Israeli civilian inadvertently entered the village of Abu Dis in the Etzion area Friday night, IDF forces, Border Police, Shin Bet, and Israel Police launched an operation in the village. While Jarrar was initially believed to have been killed in the demolition of the home, his body was not found by Palestinians inside the rubble.

Three homes belonging to the Jarrar family were previously demolished by the army during their first incursion in January. On January 23, Israeli troops arrested Jarrar's brother Suhaib Nassar Jarrar.

Following the raid in Jenin Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman stated that Israel's security establishment knows everything about the cell which carried out the attack and those who aided them.

Israeli security forces conducted a search operation on Saturday and Sunday morning to track a terrorist involved in the Havat Gilad terror attack.

"We will get him soon and settle our accounts with him".
