The Brit, who is currently working on the Mary Poppins sequel, has impressed in action films The Adjustment Bureau, Sicario and Edge of Tomorrow, and now she's up for a big adventure with the Fate of the Furious star, who first signed on to make the movie adaptation of the Disney themepark attraction in 2015.

Dwayne Johnson will have a bit of company on his unsafe expedition through the jungles and forests of tropical lands, as Variety has confirmed that Emily Blunt will join him in Disney's Jungle Cruise. Oscar-nominated Logan screenwriter Michael Green wrote the most recent draft of the screenplay, originally written by J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay.

Emily Blunt is packing for another trip to the Disney universe. The report from Variety states that they're going for film similar to the classic The African Queen starring Humphrey Bogart and Katherine Hepburn, and they're hoping Johnson and Blunt's chemistry is similar to the Hollywood icon's was. Further, his other upcoming projects include Rampage and Skyscraper both slated to release this year. Banner. Johnson, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia are producing through their Seven Bucks Productions banner, while Scott Sheldon is co-producing.

Emily will also be starring in another Disney film, Mary Poppins Returns, in theaters on Christmas Day! The studio is aiming to start production in the spring.

Blunt can be seen next in Paramount's supernatural horror film "A Quiet Place" opposite husband John Krasinski, who is also directing.
