Chelsea boss Antonio Conte remains unsure about Michy Batshuayi's future, despite seeing the striker bag a brace in the 3-0 win over Newcastle on Sunday. "In this case it will be the player's decision, not my decision".

The general feeling is that if Chelsea are able to secure the services of Edin Dzeko from Roma or another striker they may well allow Batshuayi to leave on loan for the rest of the season.

FW Michy Batshuayi, 8 - His two goals showed how potent he can be in the penalty area, and his positive display after he opened the scoring illustrated how much his all-round game relies on confidence. He improved a lot his energy and then the club will make the best decision.

Chelsea was priced at 4/9 to win the game, with Newcastle on offer at 6/1. Michy is a player I have worked with for one year and a half, a powerful player who has a lot of room for improvement.

Newcastle United are set for a busy end to the January transfer window, as Rafael Benitez looks to bolster his side with additional recruits before the market closes on Wednesday.

Batshuayi's performance came at a crucial time for Chelsea, with Morata sidelined by a back injury and a busy fixture schedule taking its toll.

I think it was very important to score (the first goal).

"But they are ready to play every three days and I feel something very special about that".

Pressed on the need for the Belgium to play ahead of the World Cup, Conte would only say: "This is a different talk".

'Willian is out. Today with the doctor he had a scan to evaluate his injury, but I don't think we are talking about a serious injury.

Sunday's fourth round tie against the Magpies took on added importance, with the FA Cup representing Chelsea's best chance of silverware this season.

With a commanding 12-point lead in the Premier League and a favorable draw in the form of Swiss side Basel in the Champions League round of 16, every victory from here will increase talk of an unprecedented quadruple for City.

Batshuayi, enjoyed further good fortune moments later as he made it 2-0 in the stroke of half-time - Pedro and Hazard combined to find the striker, whose shot ballooned up off the leg of Jamaal Lascelles, over the goalkeeper and into the net. "We had chances, we were on top of them and were in control of them".
