Twenty-nine Jamestown residents were among 5,500 undergraduates named to the dean's list for the fall 2017 semester at the University of Rhode Island.

The President's List includes those full-time students who achieved a ideal 4.0 grade point average, while the Dean's List is comprised of those with at least a 3.5 GPA.

Students on the Dean's List have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher during the semester.

VALATIE - Jacob Papas of Valatie has been named to the Fall 2017 dean's list at Buffalo State College.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) has announced that Joseph Bosco of Winthrop, a member of the Class of 2019 majoring in chemical engineering, was named to the university's Dean's List for academic excellence for the fall 2017 semester.

To achieve this honor, students must have been enrolled full time and have earned at least a 3.5 grade point average for the term. Traditional undergraduate students must earn a 3.5 grade point average or above on 12 or more hours of graded work to earn a spot on the dean's list.

VALATIE - Scott VanDenburgh of Valatie has been named to the undergraduate dean's list for the fall 2017 semester at Assumption College in Worcester, Mass. The university offers 75 fields of study, 23 master's degrees, four doctoral degrees in one college and six schools. Located in Uptown Greenwood, the university has a long-standing tradition of providing a challenging, enriching education that prepares graduates to lead lives of meaningful activity, of personal satisfaction and of service to others. Mackenzie Marsocci was named to the Champlain College president's list for the fall 2017 semester.

Thomas is a junior majoring in nursing. Students must achieve a minimum 3.33 grade point average to qualify. The Dean's List is announced twice per academic year, once at the completion of the fall semester, and again at the completion of the spring semester.
