We are expecting Apple to release any further models of the iPhone X. There is a high chance of there being a completely new series altogether.

According to KGI, Apple will ship around 18 million units of the iPhone X in the first quarter of the calendar year 2018 and almost 13 million units in the second quarter.

"This report estimates iPhone X made up about 20 [percent] of total iPhone sales in the 2017 holiday quarter, a very respectable portion of sales considering it didn't go on sale until November", the site reported. People with the Apple iPhone 6S or 7 may not have been as thrilled to upgrade as they were when the former models came out. KGI notes that a large number of Chinese users are now adhering to their existing phones for a long time, and specifically the notch on the top of the iPhone X's Super Retina display has turned away some potential customers in the region. This rumor states that the company will be doing this instead of selling the first-generation iPhone X for a lower price.

Apparently, Chinese customers are disappointed by the amount of usable space on the phone's display.

Apple has recently been embattled and placed in the spotlight for its move to deliberately slow down the performance of older iPhone models due to their aging batteries.

One frustrated user said: 'I have been experiencing headaches every time I'm on my phone for ten minutes or more. Ming-Chi said that some users are looking for larger screens and that the notches of the iPhone X have taken away some of the screen real estate.

"We believe the worries around iPhone X demand have been greatly exaggerated", the GBH Insights expert explains.

At this point, it remains unclear what Apple's 2018 iPhone lineup is going to look like. The business had revenue of $52.58 billion during the quarter, compared to analyst estimates of $50.71 billion.

"Based on our research, we forecast iPhone X cuts to be around 3 million units this quarter, well below the bearish view of 10 million units".

Other recent iPhone models also performed well in the final quarter, according to CIRP.
