In preparation for the January 30th, 2018 PS4 release of The Resistance DLC Pack #1 for Call of Duty: WWII, Activision is holding a free community event for all players on all platforms. Just like the Winter Siege weapons, players can unlock the standard version of these guns through Order's or you can unlock the individual variants through new Resistance Supply Drops.

There will be 2 new, temporary game modes coming with The Resistance.

"The Resistance is an all-new playable and permanent Division added to multiplayer, available to all players, starting on January 23".

Those expecting weapons, there's the Volkssturmgewehr assault rifle, the Orso SMG, a new knife melee weapon, and a new 9mm SAP pistol. This Division's strengths are close-quarters combat, and its perks include a Pistol Tactical Knife, the ability to scramble nearby enemy mini-maps, and a mini-map symbol showing the direction of nearby foes. There's a new trailer to go along with it, too! Faster-paced and more accessible, this classic favorite will return for two weeks during The Resistance.

For those who are into supply drops and gaining new loot, this Community Event will be rewarding you with additional free supply drops.

Prop Hunt: This new fan-favorite game mode also makes its debut in Call of Duty: WWII, as players will have the opportunity to hide in plain sight as objects, while the enemy team hunts them down.

Moreover, last month marked "the eighth consecutive December that a Call of Duty franchise release has topped the sales chart", NPD video games industry analyst Mat Piscatella said in a statement.
