I march because I want to keep Freedom's flame alive that was created by Dr. King during his lifetime.

Bernice King, daughter of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., said she is thankful to Trump for the designation.

A dream Brown says has given him freedom.

His message inspired Americans of all colors to fight for equal rights and in some Central Pennsylvania communities, it was a hard fight.

"We try to find speakers who are captivating, who really are passionate and purposeful and who really live their mission in life", said Pa Lee Moua, co-chairwoman of the event planning committee. The project was a vision of Rise Network founder Rozalyn Shepard. When asked about the importance of volunteering and service work in relation to MLK Day, Rafo noted that service should be a fundamental aspect of society.

The Rev. Christy S. Moore of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church will speak at this year's mass meeting at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 15, at Cedar Street Memorial Baptist Church, 2301 Cedar St. Richmond Public Schools students will be recognized for their achievements during the event.

Dr. Walter Fluker, professor of Ethics Leadership at Boston University School of Theology, said young people need to stay informed.

Groups for each organization went out to their sites at 9:45a.m., remaining till 12:30p.m at each site before being returned to the Student Center. But these questions are very different: asking whether or not he is a racist.

"For many years, I worked with my congressional colleagues and the National Park Service to preserve these Atlanta landmarks and to enhance visitor experiences and services", Lewis said.

Tulsa's main event on Monday, the MLK Day official federal holiday, will be the MLK Commemorative Parade at 11 a.m.

Scholarship recipient Anna Gorfinkel of Springfield said, "I just think that its important that we are able to learn about all cultures, races and religions".

If this is the "new normal", then perhaps the only way to finish Martin Luther King's work is through personal examination of what you can do to make this world a better place.

The Rev. Leah Hart-Landsberg, who co-chairs the MLK celebration committee with Moua, said Wane's address will be especially on point in the wake of Trump's controversial comments Thursday on USA immigration from African countries.
