However, there is still plenty of space for surprises.

Having filled only 17 of the upcoming women's Royal Rumble's 30 places with full-time main roster stars, WWE have now began the process of reaching out to ex-employees, with two former champions among those contacted. It also featured the return of one of the brand's top superstars.

Molly Holly is widely considered to be one of the biggest female legends of all time, but whilst Trish Stratus and Lita take all the headlines for that era, Molly is one of the women who was considered to be ahead of her time when it came to her in-ring ability.

Regardless of who the surprises will consist of, last night confirmed that the WWE universe should expect great unpredictability out of the first-ever all-women's Royal Rumble match.

McCool, on the other hand, recently teased on social media during an interaction with Charlotte Flair that she would be interested in returning to the WWE for a final match. We'll just have to wait until the Royal Rumble itself to find out.

The show is already starting to look like one of the best Royal Rumble events in history and it seems that it can only get better as more names are announced. Not only is McCool also a former women's champion, she is also the wife of WWE legend The Undertaker.

According to PWInsider's report, Holly is more likely to appear in the women's Royal Rumble than McCool but, as of writing, neither one of them is confirmed by the WWE for the event. The women's Rumble is set to consist of 30 competitors, just like the men's, but there aren't 30 females now on the main roster.
