The film is set to arrive next month and is one of Marvel's most anticipated films this year. For now, she is spreading the good news about the movie's sales thus far. In fact, just 24 hours after tickets for the film started pre-selling, the film was already able to overtake previous record holder "Captain America: Civil War".

"Black Panther is riding an incredible wave of momentum right now", Fandango Editor Erik Davis said in a statement. The film is directed by an African-American, Ryan Coogler and stars almost an entire all-black cast.

While industry estimates do not believe "Black Panther" will topple "Civil War's" strong opening weekend of $179M, but if it does, "Panter" would become the highest opening of all-time for a February release and the best opening before summer.

The video offers a look at new footage from the film and behind-the-scenes interviews with stars Danai Gurira and Lupita Nyong'o talking about the Dora Milaje, the personal bodyguards of Black Panther.

In SYFY WIRE's exclusive chat with Igle below, he explains why the Black Panther movie could potentially be a seismic shift in the way superhero flicks are perceived in literature, comics, and future films. He debuted as T'Challa in "Captain America: Civil War", which opened to an impressive $179 million when it arrived in theaters in May 2016.

"Black Panther" will see the return of Chadwick Boseman as the titular character.

The film also stars Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, and Winston Duke, with Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, and Andy Serkis.
