The "generations", part comes into play in an appearance by Presley Gerber, Crawford's son, who co-stars alongside his mom in the commercial.

All the while, two young boys watch in admiration.

The original ad aired during the 1992 Super Bowl, and featured Crawford in a tank top and jeans shorts while driving a Lamborghini, in which she stops at a dusty roadside gas station to buy a can of Pepsi.

"To this day, people come up to me to talk about how much they loved my original Pepsi spot from '92", she said in a press release. This time, the new commercial will also feature her teenage son, Presley Gerber!

It's not the first time Pepsi has revisited the Crawford spot. Not only is she starring in a Pepsi ad this year - 26 years after her first that aired during the 1992 Super Bowl - she's spawned equally lovely children, who have gone on to launch modeling careers of their own. However, the company said it may have put too much marketing emphasis on healthier beverages and planned to move marketing dollars back to Pepsi and Mountain Dew, the WSJ reported. It resurrects a loyalty program called "Pepsi Stuff" that lets customers redeem points for swag such as vintage-style Pepsi T-shirts and hats.

"It was one of those moments in my career that when I walked down the street, people were like, 'Pepsi!' Or I'd be at a bar and people would send me over a Pepsi", Crawford remembered about the original and the massive impact it had.

"I think probably that will be the highlight for me is just getting to see my dad", she said. No word if her look-alike, daughter Kaia Gerber, 16, will show up in the new ad.

That would be easy to do, since Crawford still has those iconic cut-offs. "The one thing they can't say is, 'Mom, you don't get it'".

For her part, Crawford is excited to rejoin the Pepsi family.

"I was saying to Kaia, 'Presley and I are doing this commercial, ' and she was like, 'Wait".

"Time has gone on and I have an 18-year-old son now".
