And Dean Jones of Bleacher Report says Jurgen Klopp will land Pulisic in the future, claiming the Reds have never been closer to signing the Dortmund star.

Pulisic adds that he always watches game footage of himself to learn from his mistakes, and after some gentle prodding, he also reveals that he's benefitted from watching how teammate Marco Reus makes his runs beyond the defence. His six assists led all players in the competition, though his excellent qualifying run wasn't enough to push the US into the 2018 World Cup, as the country disappointingly fell short for the first time since 1986. In September, the French publication L'Equipe named Pulisic the 11th best under-21 player in the world.

Both teams desperately need reinforcements to maintain their Champions League' promotion hopes, and there seems to be another derby battle outside the field.

After a video of Pulisic dunking went viral earlier this month, the Borussia Dortmund attacker discussed his basketball fandom and admiration for the four-time NBA MVP.

The 19-year-old winger has shown tremendous class since breaking into the Dortmund's first-team last year.

The German would be the ideal coach to teach Pulisic how to handle pressure. "I like to follow a lot of different teams and different players-I just really like the sport". I know no one means harm to me like that or wanting to put too much pressure on me. Even if that were to happen, however, Pulisic will still be burdened by being the outstanding talent of his generation, the man destined to smash through USA soccer's glass ceiling. I think if we continue to do that then of course players will come up and there will be new talents. Liverpool are one of the suitors that have been in pursuit of Pulisic for a long time, and the Reds have now been joined by Manchester United in the race to sign him.

Though Pulisic downplayed the need for a complete overhaul of U.S. Soccer in this interview, he again emphasized how the environment of the youth system in Germany has helped him develop as a player.

Pulisic is already one of the biggest American footballers and United reckon a move for him would bring them commercial success in the States.

When you're 19 years old, you want the world at your feet, not its weight on your shoulders.
