According to a report from Page Six, actress Kadian Noble said that Weinstein used his connection with Winfrey and Naomi Campbell to give her the impression he could help her rise to fame. The singer called the TV star "sanctimonious" and accused her of ignoring Harvey Weinstein's misconduct.

Oprah gave a passionate and lovely speech while accepting the Cecil B. DeMille award at the 2018 Golden Globe Awards about the Me Too movement, uplifting women in girls in our society, and the necessity of POC representation in art and media.

Oprah Winfrey has been widely praised for her Golden Globes speech, but singer Seal is not impressed.

Winfrey's "you-go-girl monologue" fell flat with the British singer, who took to Instagram to voice his displeasure. The text over the image read, "When you have been part of the problem for decades, but suddenly they all think you are the solution". The singer was married to Heidi Klum, who has herself been linked with Weinstein, as he served as the producer on her long-running reality show Project Runway.

Sea;l hammered Oprah for turning a blind eye to Harvey Weinstein's antics. "My bad", Seal wrote in the caption, adding the hashtag #SanctimoniousHollywood at the end. However, Oprah's spokesperson insisted this never happened. Once reports of Weinstein's predatory behavior and sexual assault allegations flooded in late past year, though, Winfrey was quick to at least address the events. Seal implied that Oprah knew about Harvey's rampant alleged sexual misconduct. And maybe, she supports Oprah 2020. "There are no plans for an interview at this time".

"I've been processing the accounts of Harvey Weinstein's ugly behavior and haven't been able to find the words to articulate the magnitude of the situation", she wrote, before sharing a quote from filmmaker James Schamus, according to the Daily Mail. When asked whether she was thinking about doing so, her long-time best friend and CBS This Morning co-host Gayle King said she didn't believe Oprah was seriously considering it.
