Since release, PUBG has now attracted 3 million players on Xbox One, and developer PUBG Corp. promises to continue improving the game.

Several new tweaks and adjustments were implemented with the new Xbox One update. PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds continues its reign as a sales behemoth and as a smart move for Microsoft.

The news comes as PUBG gets a huge update on PC. PUBG already had a really impressive launch, selling 1m copies on Xbox One in its first 48 hours on the console. In December, just after PUBG Corp. launched version 1.0 of the title on PC, the developer announced that the game has surpassed 30 million players in total. Thank you for your incredible support! Whether you're streaming in the HypeZone on Mixer or battling for a chicken dinner with your squad, players on Xbox are helping build and improve the game on console.

Xbox One didn't have a traditional blockbuster exclusive at the end of a year ago, but I'm having a hard time seeing how that matters when the one game it did publish just surpassed 3 million copies sold since December 12.

Planned future updates include additional game optimization and the new Miramar map.

It's great to see the game do this well on Xbox One.

"Early Access on Steam and Game Preview on Xbox One are like pre-release, so they don't have a restriction on quality", explains Kim to InvenGlobal.

Although PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is still technically in early access on Xbox One, there's no doubt that folks are anxiously awaiting its full release on the console, as it's one of the most exciting Xbox One exclusives in 2018.

PUBG is a reimagining of the first-person shooter as an e-sport competition, a virtual version of the Hunger Games where competitors parachute onto an island, and then find weapons and other items and hunt each other down.
