The 60th annual Grammy Awards is approaching and yesterday the Recording Academyannounced that Cardi B, Bruno Mars, and SZA have been added to the list of performers.
The Grammys will be hosted by James Corden and take place at New York's Madison Square Garden on Sunday, January 28th.
Bruno and Cardi will be hitting the stage together to perform the remix to their hit song "Finesse". Reports say that suicide attempt and loss survivors will join them. Cardi B has also earned two nominations for her hit "Bodak Yellow". 'Despacito' will also compete for song and record of the year. Alessia Cara, Khalid and Logic released their moving song 1-800-273-8255 in April 2017, to critical acclaim.
Alessia Cara received four nominations this year including Best New Artist. The pair are nominated for Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their smash hit "Despacito" featuring Justin Bieber. JAY-Z's 4:44, Kendrick Lamar's critically-acclaimed album, DAMN., Childish Gambino's psychedelic funk album, Awake My Love! and Bruno Mars' nostalgically energetic 24K Magic are all deservedly up for Album of the Year alongside Lorde's Melodrama. Their song "1-800-273-8255", whose title is the phone number for the Lifeline, is up for Song of the Year and Best Music Video for exploring the theme of suicidal depression.
