Metal Gear: Survive is the next entry to be released in the Metal Gear saga and will be the first game to be published by Konami since the series' creator, Hideo Kojima, left in 2015. The announcement of Metal Gear: Survive received lukewarm enthusiasm from Metal Gear fans, but it looks like it could have some interesting tidbits nevertheless.

Metal Gear Survive is in development for PS4, Xbox One and PC. If you want to pre-order the game, you will get a free Survival Pack which includes four gold-plated weapons (bat, sledgehammer, survival machete, and survival spear), two gestures (happy and thumbs-up), four survival scarves (green, blue, pink, and silver), Kabuki face paint, Mother Base nameplate and the Boxman accessory.

IGN recently went up with a new preview for Metal Gear Survive, the Kojima-less spinoff that focuses on multiplayer survival action.

PS4 and Xbox One players from Japan, North America, Europe and Asia will have a chance to test Metal Gear Survive next week, on January 18, during the 4-day open Beta, which will last until January 21. Even so, a lot of the trailer is still applicable to the beta, as it shows off crafting, base building, and fighting off zombies, which are all things players will do in co-op.

The whole trailer pretty much can be summed up to players being able to murder these "zombies" left and right.

Metal Gear Survive has been controversial among fans since its Gamescom 2017 announcement.
