Throughout her history in the comics, we've seen her interact with the likes of Wolverine, Colossus, and even Star-Lord, so if 20th Century Fox does put Miller's solo film into production, we'll be curious to know which Kitty Pryde story line he decides to follow. Further, in news that should intrigue fans, the project - which would still be in its early stages - has Deadpool's Tim Miller attached as a potential director.

Due to her popularity, Fox is going to make a solo film about the character in the near future directed by Deadpool's Tim Miller. There's also that Disney/20th Century Fox merger to consider (it's remains unclear how that merger might impact production on the various X-Men spin-offs now in development).

Most recently we saw Ellen Page play an iteration of Kitty Pryde (who sometimes goes by the alias of Shadowcat) in X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men: Days of Future Past. This year alone has a proper X-Men sequel, X-Men: Dark Phoenix, and two X-spinoffs, Deadpool 2 and New Mutants, scheduled for release.

Kitty Pryde, as you nearly certainly know, is the young, female mutant with the ability to walk through (or "phase" through) walls.

Sources told Collider Tim Miller is now working on the film for Fox, but Collider stresses that with a possible Disney buyout of Fox looming, the film's fate may change. There's also the small detail that 20th Century Fox are potentially being bought by Disney in 18 months' time, so while the Kitty Pryde project is in active development, it's got a few hurdles to get over before moving closer to the screen.

Miller was originally going to direct Deadpool 2 after the success of the first movie.
