Schools to open late Tuesday

Hopkins County Schools will have additional buses on the roads to take student walkers to schools.

Horry Georgetown Technical College campuses will be closed on Wednesday to all faculty, staff and students.

Recent icy temperatures that have gripped most of MS have forced officials at Madison County Schools to act.

School district employees are to arrive at their regularly scheduled times. However, New Life Christian School will operate on a normal schedule.

Due to concerns with cold weather affecting buses, Lancaster County students will start school two hours late on Wednesday.

Elementary, middle, P-8 and junior high school classes will begin at 10 a.m. Doors will open at 9 a.m. for drop-off.

Guntersville says they will also delay the start of school by two hours Wednesday through Friday. Teacher in-service will continue as scheduled Wednesday, Jan. 3.

-Due to the expected inclement weather, tomorrow's B-to-B Connects at the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce is canceled, according to information on the chamber's Facebook page.
