Model Chrissy Teigen and singer John Legend got themselves dragged into the stupidest possible controversy this weekend when self-proclaimed "investigative journalist" and far-right activist Liz Crokin, who Twitter in their unending wisdom had chose to give a verified account, accused them of involvement in the debunked "Pizzagate" scandal.

Teigen's husband and Luna's dad John Legend also jumped in the Twitter fray, threatening a lawsuit.

Before she went private, Teigen explained that this woman was connecting Legend to this child sexual abuse and trafficking ring through the fact that Teigen and Legend dressed their daughter up as Alice in Wonderland for Halloween.

"I debated saying something about this but I'm pretty disturbed over here", Teigen tweeted as she shared a couple of screenshots. The "political junkie" tweeted a photo set of Luna in an Alice in Wonderland and hot dog costume as well as a SnapChat screenshot of Teigen using the pizza emoji to support her claim of the family being linked to Pizzagate. "The fact that there are people with really scary", Teigen wrote. Holy shit That thread is wild.

Her first tweet read: 'A flying first for me: 4 hours into an 11 hour flight and we are turning around because we have a passenger who isn't supposed to be on this plane.

Liz Crokin claimed the celebrities associate with a ring of politicians, businessmen, and entertainers who engage in trafficking children.

But Teigen took it all in stride and diligently updated her followers throughout the entire ordeal on social media.

Chelsea Clinton defended Legend and Teigen, saying "It is terrible & never ok when people threaten or demean any child". But in the meantime she's keeping busy delivering humorous one liners to the rest of us.

Teigan proceeded to call out the social network for verifying Crokin - and it appears they responded by stripping her of that verification.

"I don't care HOW you backtrack or WHAT you deleted".

Though we won't know if Teigen and Legend go through with their plan to sue Cronkin until the legal documents are filed, they sound pretty serious. She claims that she has been censored and punished for exposing sex traffickers.
