Bowling Green Municipal Utilities crews were working Tuesday to fix a water main break in the 800 block of US 31-W By-Pass.
"Then we had to shut it all down to do fix", Martin said.
Officials estimated repairs to the line could take up to 4 hours.
Martin said that until the water is shut down, the MDC can not determine how many residents, if any, might be without water. The road is now open, but police say the roadway could be slick.
"The extreme weather is a factor in the occurrence of water main breaks", said MDC spokesperson Kerry Martin.
It is unclear if the status of after-school activities at Webster Hill Elementary School.
