Twins born just 20 minutes apart will not share birthday, birth month, or even a birth year

His twin sister Aitana was born just 18 minutes later at 12:16 a.m... on January 1. Delano Regional Medical Center officials tell 23ABC that a set of twins was born at the end of 2017 and the start of 2018.
A California mother is celebrating a rare gift: The birth of her twins in two different years.
Joaquin is 18 inches long, weighing 5 pounds, 9 ounces, while Aitana is 16 1/2 inches long and weighing 4 pounds, 10 ounces.
Doctors said that the girl was slightly breached, so she had to be delivered via cesarean section. A baby girl named Aitana de Jesus Ontiveros, the first baby born in 2018 in Kern County.
So much for having to share everything - from possibly similar facial features and genes to their parents' attention, they will, in fact, not share any bit of their birthday. But as fate would have it, at 7 pm on New Year's Eve, their mother Maria went into premature labour.
It appears several babies were born in the hours just after midnight.
A California mom ended 2017 by welcoming one bundle of joy and then kicked off 2018 by giving birth to his twin sister. Flores and her family were gifted over $3,000 in brand new baby gear.
Maria and her husband, parents to the twins, both are farm laborers and they have three daughters as well.
