The police told Hindustan Times that on Saturday that the girl was first raped by her neighbour and his friend, then by a man who she sought help from after being raped.

A 15-year-old blood cancer survivor in UP's capital city Lucknow was gang-raped by three men late on Saturday night.

And just to add to your sense of disbelief at this disturbing act, she is also a stage 1 leukemia or blood cancer patient.

The Circle Officer (CO) of Sarojini Nagar, Lalta Prasad Singh, informed that the victim had gone to buy groceries when an acquaintance convinced her to come along with him. The minor managed to reach her home at around 3 am on Sunday, after which her father, who had been searching for her, filed a police complaint, and an FIR was lodged. Post that they dropped her by the side of a road and fled. "However, he instead took the minor to the roadside, raped her and left her there". After having a small conversation there, the accused took her to another friend namely Sumit.

The police has arrested Virendra and a manhunt has been launched to nab Shubham and Sumit.

Additional superintendent of police (East) Sarvesh Mishra said residents spotted the girl walking alone around midnight and informed Bijnore police outpost. Her neighbor, who has been identified as Virendra Yadav (38), offered his help in getting her back home. She was sent for a medical examination and police contacted a social organisation to counsel the traumatised girl.
