There were a lot of big announcements made last night during the Game Awards 2017 presentation, but there was one that went by without much of a fuss due to the bigger ones. Be sure to check out the new trailer for the game below. The game has been in an alpha testing phase since a year ago, with the developer gathering feedback from prospecting pirates keen on gathering up some treasure. This is the Xbox One-exclusive game.

If you're just getting caught up to speed, yes, Sea of Thieves could be summed up as "a pirate game".

It will be released shortly before the Xbox One and Windows 10 same-world, multiplayer game Sea of Thieves, which has been announced to hit stores on 20 March 2018.

Sea of Thieves launches on March 20th, 2018, for PC and Xbox One.

The trailer also unveiled some new features, such as spyglasses, character customization, chickens (as well as crates to carry them of course), explosive barrels, and more.

After years of promos and months of technical tests, the time has come to ask the most important Sea of Thieves question of all: arghh you ready?
