Initial reports alleged that he took some fake Xanax before passing out and that might have contributed to his death.

According to TMZ, the 21-year-old, real name Gustav Åhr, died from an overdose from the "combined toxic effects of fentanyl and alprazolam".

Lil Peep apparently also tested positive for marijuana, cocaine, Tramadol and a number of other powerful prescription opiates. At the time, the cause of death wasn't exactly clear but many speculated it was from an overdose from drugs, specifically Xanax. He had no alcohol in his system.

Authorities in Pima County have released the autopsy report of late rapper Lil Peep.

The rising SoundCloud rapper died on November 15th in Tucson Arizona while in the city for a concert. When she checked on him later he couldn't be roused.

The medical examiner's office deemed the cause of death "accidental".
